Sure! Citrine is URTV 668, a variant like her brothers Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo. But what's more is tha Citrine is an X-type (female) URTV. There are only 9 "remaining" (whatever that means) female URTV, and from her introductory lines I speculate that their purpose was to serve as egg donors should the project encounter problems with the initial generation and run out of stock eggs before the project was completed. But that's just speculation on my part.

Well, exactly what purposes the X-types serve isn't really specified in either of the two games so far -- I don't think combat with U-DO is one of them because we never see them in any of the big battle or training flashbacks. Though the other URTV (the Y-types) were created as "anti-existences" to U-DO (basically they're suposed to cancel eachother out).
